The MRT Guide to Home Prices in Singapore
Posted by Louis | Friday, October 03, 2008 | Transport | 0 comments »Take a closer look at the HDB 4-room flat prices from the city and towards the outskirts areas. You will realised the High prices in the city will gradually decrease and then start to increase towards the outskirts areas.
This means my previous assumption that city property prices will gradually decrease uniformly until the corners of the country is wrong.
Armed with these facts, where do you think is the best investment area?

Commuters embracing LTA's call in making Public Transport a Choice mode
Posted by Louis | Saturday, August 16, 2008 | Transport | 0 comments »MRT rides surge to a high, with a monthly total hits of 44.9 million is a sign that motorists are leaving cars at home.
It seems that it doesn't make sense anymore to drive into the city with ERP everywhere.
And because of the rise in ridership, SMRT is giving away breakfast discounts.
According to The Straits Times, the nine stations where breakfast discount flyers will be distributed are Orchard, Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut, City Hall, Raffles Place, Lavender, Bugis, Tanjong Pagar and Outram Park.
The climate is right for trains.

New Sentosa Gateway Tunnel In The Sentosa-Harbour Front Area
Posted by Louis | Friday, July 25, 2008 | Transport | 0 comments »LTA will be building a new road tunnel to cater to increased traffic volume in the Sentosa-Harbour Front area.
We can expect a smoother travel into Sentosa Island and outbound traffic from Sentosa will have a direct connection towards the ECP via Keppel Road or the AYE via Lower Delta Road through this tunnel.
This will provide a positive travel experience for me when I'm heading home to Sentosa Cove in the future.

One Common Taxi Number - 6-DIAL CAB (6342 5222)
Posted by Louis | Monday, July 21, 2008 | Transport | 0 comments »With this common number, we will be able to book a taxi from any of the taxi companies. Once connected, we will first be routed to one taxi company's call centre. If the call centre's lines are busy, the call will automatically be re-routed to another taxi company's call centre after every 10 secs. The call will be terminated only after three attempts of unsuccessfully routing.
The respective taxi companies' call-booking hotlines will continue to be in use. Commuters who have preference for taxis from any of the taxi companies can continue to book a taxi from the company directly, by calling their respective hotlines.
