Ideas on Getting Organized At Home

Posted by Louis | Wednesday, June 16, 2010 | , | 0 comments »

Some simple Ideas for Home Organizing that will make it easy to keep the "little things" from turning into big piles of clutter quickly spreading around the house.

Touch it Once and Settle it!

Most of us do with everyday clutter is put off taking action until later.  This creates an even greater lack of time had you taken care of the item right there and then.  This stuff is just added to the piles and it spreads through the house like wild fire.

So take action right away and don't "leave it for later."

Keep things the same kind together.

Sweaters with sweaters. Shirts with shirts. One shelf for snacks and a shelf for cans.

Wouldn't it be nice to find whatever it is you're looking for in a matter of seconds?

Start to dedicate a specific space for everything you own.

Organize one thing or space or room at a time.

Work on one small thing at a time in set increments and try and do it every single day until you're done.  Then move onto the next thing.

The key is to get something organized everyday and make it consistent.

If you try and tackle too much at once, you'll simply find yourself overwhelmed.  Then you'll give up.

Keep these ideas in mind and start to organize your life.

I cannot access the images on the memory card from my phone's "Gallery" after taking pictures with my Nokia E71.

However, I can still view the images on the memory card via the file manager.

I tried to find settings and configuration that could help to solve the problem but in vain.

I copied all the images and files from my memory card to my computer. Then formatted the memory card using my phone.

And the problem was solved.

I guessed, I must have dropped my phone and corrupted the memory card in the process.

Hope this article helps those who are facing the same problem.

SD Card Reader: The disk is write-protected

Posted by Louis | Monday, November 03, 2008 | | 0 comments »

You cannot copy any files to the SD card using the SD card reader.

It says "Cannot copy xxxx file. The disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk" message.

1. You checked the lock at the side of the reader numerous times and confirmed it is not locked.

2. You have isolated the problem exists with the SD card reader and not the SD Card itself. When you plug in a separate SD card reader via USB, read and write works just fine.

3. You have downloaded the SD card reader program and installs the drivers needed. Rebooted and tried again, the problem still exists.

The following solution sounds stupid but it Works for me.

Place a clear tape over the lock.

This is to prevent it from switching to "Lock" position during insertion into the card reader.

Did you manage to write the file onto the SD card successfully?
