Getting Around Singapore - Use PublicTransport.sg

PublicTransport@SG, a new initiative introduced by Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) about 2 weeks ago.

This website aims to provide one-stop information covering all public transport operators for commuters as well as tourists, making it easier to get around Singapore.

I find that the Interactive maps especially useful and more informative than the maps provided by SLA .

Besides the option of searching for location by keying the road name, building name and postal code, we can also find key information on bus service such as bus routes, bus stop locations, bus service number available at the bus stop and bus fares.

The maps also have the drop-down menu to search for MRT stations / LRT stations / bus interchange locations and an overview of MRT & LRT system.

Tourists can download the Key Bus Services Map (in pdf format) as a handy companion to explore the city area and the Public Transport Guide (also in pdf format) as a comprehensive guide to explore Singapore.

However, the Real-time SMS Bus Arrival (SMS-BA) doesn't appeal to me as I don't really need the service... because I can wait, I have lots of time to spare...

Click here to visit PublicTransport@SG and find out more.

Generally, I feel that the information available on the website is quite complete.

What do you think? Do you have more ideas to improve PublicTransport@SG?
