This means there is no additional Holiday for those on 5-day week.
Hooray!! I love Work!
Finally, I have finished with the migration from the old blog to this new template. New Template, New Look, New Coming Year and thus, looking forward to a new level of Success in 2009.
This year's Christmas was rather "quiet" for me. Most of my close friends were not available for the "traditional" Christmas' Eve gathering. Some chose to stay in Australia, some chose to go U.S.A, some chose to etc...
Spent the whole Christmas with my family at my granny's place. Of course, the focus of whole family is on Vanessa. She is very active and "noisy". Not a ounce of energy and mental strength were spared looking after her. By the way, she loves water, take a quick look of her enjoying herself in the pool.
My neighbours caught my family by surprise when they gave us a Christmas present. We didn't prepare any and one minute of stunned looks were there in exchange of their present. They are really sweet and nice. This reminded me that Christmas is a season of sharing and not just another public holiday.
Happy Boxing Day and Happy Hunting for bargains in all the "Post Christmas' Sales".
What is okto? - LoOK fwd TO it!
Posted by Louis | Wednesday, October 08, 2008 | General | 0 comments »It is another Free-To-Air TV channel offered by MediaCorp, which will begin transmission on Sunday, 19 October 2008.
Recently, a series of okto advertisements are flooding the TV programmes and the ad on the soldier's eerie encounter with a supernatural being have caught my attention. The text "it's time to go back to camp" keeps flashing throughout the ad and that eerie female ghost sends shivers down my spine. Maybe I'm recalling the time when I was in the army and putting myself in this soldier's situation.
okto is number ‘8’ in Greek and the channel will be carried on channel ‘8’ on both StarHub Cable TV and SingTel mio.
The channel will have special focus on the kids, arts and User Generated Content (UGC). Viewers can send their clips which can be shown on the channel’s UGC belt named oktobite.
okto will telecast from 9 am to 12 midnight daily.
Start tuning in before 19 October 2008.
Show me how to tune in to okto.
Singapore is assured of a medal after 48-year Olympic medal drought

Surprisingly, Feng Tianwei is the unsung hero of the table-tennis team. I believe she is going to be Singapore's new golden girl of table tennis.
Singapore's 1st Gold Medal on the way.
Control the fuel gauge at your finger tip
Posted by Louis | Thursday, August 14, 2008 | General | 0 comments »This is an interesting news, a Singapore motorist has been fined 500 dollars and jailed 2 weeks for tampering the fuel gauge of his car while crossing the Woodlands Checkpoint.
He declared that his fuel tank was almost full at the custom.
(Under the law, Singapore registered cars must have at least three quarter tank when departing Singapore.)
However, a remote control switch was found hanging from the wiper lever of his car after a customs officer conducted a thorough check.
When questioned, he could not explain the purpose of the device.
The ICA officer proceeded to activate the remote control and saw the fuel indicator drop to "E", reflecting an empty fuel tank.
Is the savings worth the 500 dollars and 2 weeks jail?
'Pushers' pushing people into a crowded train

2. Walk around the bathroom and imagine that you are going through your daily routine. Then plan the space to suit your needs.
3. Choose colors as natural as possible to have a cool and relaxing feeling when you are in the bathroom.

4. Choose the appropriate lighting that suit your mood for the sink and shower area. Try to have more natural lightings as possible. Keep the windows and opening free from obstruction.
5. Incorporate plants and greenery in the bathroom. The asymmetrical nature of growing things helps to offset the hard and cold feelings of tiles and marble.
Here's some ideas that I have gathered for Home Decor:
Decide on the theme that you want for your home or room. Have at least one piece of item you like in every room! Color choices should compliment the main color in the room.
Entry ways should be clear, neat and uncluttered. This area of the home will set your mood when you step into the house.
Lighting is an important element in accessorizing your home. Accent a large picture with a spot light to enhance a focal point in a room. Lighting creates ambiance and should coordinate with the theme you want to create.
Pictures should be hung so that the middle of the picture is at eye level. Art work should be placed no more than seven to ten inches above a table or five to eight inches above the sofa.
Mirrors are great to expand a smaller space. Try a large mirror that stands on the floor attached to the wall behind a small dining room table. These mirrors can be five to six feet tall. It has an amazing effect!
Bookcases are often found to be too cluttered. Vary the heights of books with the tallest in the middle. Don't put small books next to tall books. Take off dust covers from books to show their often rich colors.
Don't leave a gap between the ceiling and the top of the bookcase. Place a plant on the top shelf for balance. The upper shelves can be used for candles, family pictures, fancy bowls or larger ornaments in odd number groupings of 1, 3 or 5 pieces.
Kitchens also can be accessorized to create a gourmet feel. Grow a few herb plants on a kitchen window sill to use in your cooking and add wonderful aromas. Accessorize your counter tops with small attractive appliances or cooking utensils. A large bowl of fruit on the kitchen table can be fresh or artificial. Prints are also a welcome addition on kitchen walls.
Use many pillows on the bed as this can add a splash of color in a bedroom. Vary the colors and patterns of the pillows and graduate the sizes from large to small. Pillows are also great on a sofa and will add tremendous character to a dull living room.
Place a picture frame, lamp or small pot of flowers on your night side table.
Bathrooms can have a spa appeal by placing clear glass bowls filled with colored soaps, bath salts or bubble bath beads on the bathroom counter.
First impressions are lasting. Do not mix beautiful furniture with cheap accessories. Accessories can make or break the ambiance of your home. Be creative and trust your instincts.
I’ve been blogging and creating websites since 2008.
I worked in a few jobs, all in the Communication Industry - Data communication, Voice communication and Video communication.
During the early days of my career, the Info-Communication Technology Industry is in its infant stage.
However, these days Info-Communication Technology has changed the way people communicate.
My passions seem to revolve around Communication - whether it is technology, written or spoken. I love the "un-wired" lifestyle, that is being able to work from any where, any time and stay connected to the Internet. I also like to engage in activities that will result in exponential growth of returns with every effort put in.
Lastly – I’m a fairly entrepreneurial spirit. I love thinking of ideas, starting new things and letting my creative juices loose.
This blog is a place for me to share my reflections on life, my thoughts on personal development and a few updates on what I’ve been doing and observing lately.
There are moments of life that we truly treasured but these only formed a small part of our life. Whereas, most of our time are occupied by low value activities.
There are many problems that can plague our daily lives, making us unhappy, worry, stress, angry, fear, depression, self-doubt etc.
Since each day lost to these ills cannot be replaced, we ought to be doing something about it.
Walk with me on my journey to enjoy a life of financial stability, creative expression, human interaction, happiness and freedom.
